Walter USA
Walter has introduced the TD610 Supreme full-effective thread milling cutter, which can be used with or without internal cooling for reliable chip evacuation even with a high feed per tooth. The new tool is suitable for both blind-hole and through-hole threads.
The TD610 is offered for thread depths up to 2.0 × nominal diameter (DN). The tool can thread steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and super alloys up to a hardness of 48 HRC (ISO P, M, K, N and S material groups). The program offering is M4 to M20, M4×0.5 to M20×2, UNC8 to UNC7/8, UNF8 to UNF3/4 and G1/16 to G1.
The TD610 Supreme thread milling cutter features an optimized short flute geometry for maximum stability, a differential pitch for smooth running with short threads and a modified neck geometry. The tool is made of Walter’s high-performance grade WB10TU for the best performance in a wide range of materials. The shank is produced in accordance with the DIN 6535 HB standard.
The thread mill is ideal for meeting strict requirements on process reliability, such as when threading expensive components. The cutter produces threads with excellent quality and enables short machining times and a long tool life with few radius corrections.
The Walter lineup of products consists of three categories to its tools. Supreme indicates the highest level of technology and performance available. Perform tools are products that provide an economical solution with focused importance on price and Advance which indicates product efficiently balanced between price and performance.
