The AK170-24 Series Goniometers features +/- 24 degrees of travel, 18 Arcseconds of repeat positioning accuracy, and a 105mm center of rotation above the table. There are four models in this series of goniometers that are ideal for: X-ray diffraction (XRD) and crystallography, laser and optical alignment, surface metrology and reflectometry, spectroscopy and microscopy, robotics and aerospace assembly, medical imaging, and radiation therapy.

This newly released AK170-24 Goniometer Series features precision ground worm gears with a 386:1 ratio and pre-loaded cross roller guides, and +/- 24 degrees of travel with 20kg of load, has high repeat positioning accuracy (18 Arcsec.) using a standard Two-Phase Stepper Motor. These motorized goniometer tables offer high-resolution, repeatable angular motion, and are often integrated with computer control systems for automation, enabling efficient and accurate experimentation or manufacturing processes.

The AK170-24 Series of goniometer stages feature four motor options. The -01 option (pictured) is Stepper Motor driven.  The -02 option is driven by a Three-Phase Brushless Servo Motor with a Quadrature Optical Encoder, the -03 version is DC Brushed Servo Motor Driven with a Quadrature Optical Encoder, and the -04 option is Stepper Motor Driven with the knob replaced with a Quadrature Optical Encoder for position verification.  The highest resolutions, accuracy, and travel speeds are achieved with the servo motor options -02 and -03.

This AK170-24 Goniometer Series of Stages has a large 120mm by 120mm wide table with a precision pattern of mounting holes for precise location of fixtures. The height of rotation is 105mm above the surface of the table, and the radius of rotation is 144.5mm.

The 20kg load capacity of these stages allows for stacking of a second goniometer stage or it can be used as a building block in a multi-axes stage including linear and rotary axis-stages. A calibrated indicator displays the angle of rotation. The stage can be ordered with a fully plug-and-play compatible motion controller from OES.
