Vuzix completes delivery to Tier-1 aerospace and defense firm

Vuzix Corporation, a supplier of smart glasses and Augmented Reality (AR) technology and products, completed delivery against a follow-on order from a Tier-1 aerospace and defense contractor. Vuzix expects to receive additional orders in subsequent phases with this partner.

Vuzix delivered a customized waveguide-based optics engine intended to be used in head worn systems designed for aerospace applications. These customized waveguide-based engine prototypes offer a high brightness, high index waveguide design with a wide FOV (field-of-view) for a variety of field operational conditions.
