Titomic Limited
Titomic Limited, a global leader in cold spray additive manufacturing using their Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology, has been selected as one of five companies to join the second cohort of the CRP DefenseTech Accelerator, a collaboration between the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, Cummings Research Park (CRP), and Treble One. Representing Titomic at the official kick-off is Sarah Neeley, Chief Operating Officer.
This program strategically accelerates Titomic’s ability to be inserted into the defense and aerospace market by providing the opportunity to:
- Secure at least one prime contract with the U.S. federal government
- Secure at least one subcontract with a U.S. federal government prime contractor
- Partner with at least one prime contractor or OEM
The DefenseTech Accelerator is designed to help innovative companies scale their technologies for defense and commercial applications. This year five companies were chosen to participate: Titomic, FC Renew, MESO Space, SkyfireAI, and Vivum AI. The program focuses on advancing technologies that address critical needs within the U.S. Department of the Air Force and the broader Department of Defense (DOD).
The 2025 cohort launched on September 30 at The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Invention to Innovation Center (I²C), where companies participate through December. The Accelerator provides hands-on mentorship, business development support, and direct connections to defense and commercial partners.
“Titomic is honored to be part of this prestigious program,” says Sarah Neeley, COO of Titomic. “The DefenseTech Accelerator represents a unique opportunity to collaborate with U.S. defense stakeholders and demonstrate how our advanced manufacturing technologies can enhance readiness and performance.”
This milestone further underscores Titomic’s strategic pivot toward becoming a trusted partner to the U.S. Department of Defense. By embedding within Huntsville’s defense innovation ecosystem and engaging directly with Air Force and DOD stakeholders, Titomic is strengthening its position to deliver critical capabilities in hypersonics, missile defense, aerospace, space, and sustainment programs.
“Participation in the DefenseTech Accelerator enhances Titomic’s integration into the U.S. defense industrial base, aligning with its mission to provide resilient, rapid, and scalable advanced manufacturing solutions for national security needs”, says Jim Simpson, CEO and managing director of Titomic.
The initiative is supported by Innovate Alabama and sponsors Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Regions Bank, and Synovus. It also leverages the Innovate Alabama Tax Credit Program, which allows state tax allocations to fund local innovation and job growth.
