Matthew Schmitz is a National Product Specialist focusing on GRIP (Grooving, Parting, Swiss Specific, and more) products at ISCAR USA. Bringing a farm-raised work ethic into the manufacturing industry in the early '90s, Matt started his career with grassroots education and a machinist apprenticeship, which laid the foundation for his extensive knowledge in CAM software, conversational programming, and the setup and operation of CNC and manual lathes and mills, Swiss-type lathes, hobs, grinders, and more.
Since joining ISCAR in 1999, Matt has held various roles encompassing sales, technical specialist, product management, and sales management. He has actively engaged with manufacturing companies across the USA, providing innovative solutions that enhance machining processes by implementing ISCAR’S latest cutting tool technologies.
In his current role, Matt collaborates with ISCAR’s Sales & Marketing Teams to identify how ISCAR can best serve the metalworking industry through product development and effective cutting tool applications. His efforts concentrate on maximizing cutting tool utilization, ensuring that ISCAR’s customers remain some of the most competitive manufacturers in their respective industries.
Matt holds an MBA in Marketing and possesses extensive technical expertise, complemented by a Machinist Journey-Level Certificate. This unique combination of skills, experience, and education enables him to bridge the gap between technical product knowledge and effective product strategies.

Larry Robbins
President and CEO
SMW Autoblok
Larry Robbins joined SMW Autoblok in 2007 as National Sales Manager and was appointed President of SMW Autoblok’s Commercial Division in 2019, then CEO in 2024.
As CEO, Larry manages all strategic sales and marketing initiatives as well as overseeing SMW Autoblok’s North American sales team and customer base including machine tool dealers, OEMs, and channels currently under development. He also oversees international products and global product launches including our new wireless connectivity company, SMW Electronics.
Larry has more than 40 years of experience in the machine tool industry and manufacturing. Prior to working for SMW Autoblok, he owned a successful manufacturers’ rep company for 13 years. Larry’s knowledge and ability in the machining industry began in his early youth when he worked side-by-side with his father who owned a prosperous distributorship in New Jersey.
