Performance Drone Works (PDW)
Performance Drone Works (PDW) secured more than $15.3 million in sales and contracts from the U.S. Army to supply its flagship C100 Group 2 Small Uncrewed Aircraft System (sUAS) in support of the Army's ‘Transformation in Contact’ initiative. The system will be deployed across multiple high-profile theaters, including Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), European Command (EUCOM), and Central Command (CENTCOM), enhancing the capabilities of U.S. forces in these critical regions. The C100 was recently selected as part of the U.S. Army's Directed Requirement for Company-Level sUAS, providing Soldiers with a game-changing solution for medium-range reconnaissance and tactical air support in complex and contested environments.
“The C100 drone is setting a new standard for battlefield agility and operational impact, equipping Soldiers with the ability to conduct missions autonomously without external fire support,” says Ryan Gury, PDW CEO and Co-founder. “We are honored to support the Army's critical objectives and proud to deliver a solution that enables the maneuver force with decentralized and dispersed capabilities.”
Weighing just 21 pounds and modular enough to fit in a rucksack, the C100 quadcopter empowers units to organically deploy air support, conduct precision strikes, and gather intelligence—all without the need for manned aircraft or external fire support.
“PDW is transforming the battlefield with cutting-edge drone technology,” says General (Ret.) Tony Thomas, Chairman of the Board at PDW and former Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). “The C100 provides our warfighters with a decisive advantage, delivering unparalleled operational flexibility and survivability in today’s contested environments.”
PDW continues to solidify its position as a leader in defense technology, delivering innovative solutions that directly enhance warfighter capabilities. From its work with SOCOM on advanced radio platforms to developing NDAA-compliant FPV combat systems, PDW is at the forefront of transforming small robotics for military use.
