Iscar has a range of tools that offer fast, precise changeover that is well suited to this machine tool type. This new indexable technology from Iscar uses smaller inserts that are “right sized” for this environment that offers the economy of indexability over solid round tooling that is predominately in use. During the 30-minute presentation, Tom Raun, chief technical officer for Iscar Metals, will overview their offering specific to these popular machine tools.
Raun joined Iscar in 2003 and has focused on project/product management, while engaging with manufacturing companies throughout the USA to improve CNC machining processes through education and implementation of cutting tool technologies. Raun currently leads a team of cutting tool product specialists responsible for developing and articulating cutting tool application strategies that improve productivity for customers.
