In the first session, INSACO will offer a "Fasten-ating Update: Internal Threading in Hard Materials Now Possible"! Scott Mittl, vice president of sales at INSACO, will lead a discussion about hard materials and internal threading capabilities providing possibilities for joining in high temperatures, vacuums, and medical applications. INSACO is a precision machining company that fabricates parts from all technical ceramics, sapphire, glass and quartz. Since 1947, INSACO has been synonymous with excellence in the development and production of high precision machined parts.
In the second half hour, SMW Autoblok U.S. President and CEO Larry Robbins covers the latest technological advancements and how partnering with the right workholding manufacturer has many benefits.

Scott Mittl, vice president of sales, has been an employee of INSACO since 1990 and is responsible for sales engineering activity including quotations and account management. He takes an aggressive proactive approach to developing new customers and new product applications. This approach includes developing subcontractors to offer new capabilities/services to INSACO’s customers. With his technical expertise and experience he can provide guidance in designing products using the materials INSACO machines. He has a B.A. in Applied Sciences and a B.S. in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University and is a member of the American Ceramic Society.

Larry Robbins
President and CEO
SMW Autoblok
Larry Robbins joined SMW Autoblok in 2007 as national sales manager and was appointed president of SMW Autoblok’s Commercial Division in 2019, then CEO in 2024.
As CEO, Larry manages all strategic sales and marketing initiatives as well as overseeing SMW Autoblok’s North American sales team and customer base including machine tool dealers, OEMs, and channels currently under development. He also oversees international products and global product launches including SMW’s new wireless connectivity company, SMW Electronics.
Larry has over 40 years of experience in the machine tool industry and manufacturing. Prior to working for SMW Autoblok, he owned a successful manufacturers’ rep company for 13 years. Larry’s knowledge and ability in the machining industry began in his early youth when he worked side-by-side with his father who owned a prosperous distributorship in New Jersey.
