OSG USA
Severe chatter and poor surface finishes were frustrating a firearms manufacturer. They were looking to produce a better machined finish while reducing costs. The part was a receiver made from 4140 (40HRC) on an Okuma machine with a CT40 spindle. The original tooling was a solid carbide end mill, 0.5", 7-flute, TIN.
OSG USA took on the challenge and suggest the HY-PRO CARB VGM7 0.5", 7-flute EXO. The results were more than $10,500 in cost savings. Click here to read the full case study and see for yourself!
