CNC precision automatic lathe

The SS327-III-5AX Swiss-type high-performance automatic lathe has a servo-driven, modular B-axis for cutting complex parts in a single setup, while allowing through-hole thread whirling or high-speed spindles for small end mills. The B-axis contains live tools (four front, two rear) which can machine in coordination with the C-axis, cutting precise angles and sculpted contours. The B-axis functions transform the Swiss-type lathe into a multitasking turning center that can drill, tap, and end mill at any angle.
The modular tool zone simplifies changing cartridge-type live cross and face tools on the B-axis and the sub side, decreasing changeover time. Multiple angle cuts by the same tool also decrease the number of tools required for machining complex shapes.
Enhancements include larger linear guides, increased ribs in the solid base casting, a 4GB data server, thermal displacement compensation sensors throughout, and 3-toggle clamping system standard.
The CNC lathe is convertible and may be run as a traditional sliding headstock Swiss-type lathe, using the guide bushing, or run without the guide bushing with the addition of an included chucker kit. When run as a chucker, the lathe can use drawn bar stock instead of centerless ground stock, reducing remnant length and increasing shop flexibility.

Gripper series

Pneumatic grippers featuring 2PXS, 2PXM, and 2PXL models are Proofline sealed and IP64 rated. With gripping force facilitated by an oval piston, 2-finger low-weight design, PX grippers provide spring force mechanisms for external and internal gripping. The grippers also incorporate magnetic switches, inductive sensors, or analog position measuring systems.

High-performance end mill

The 5125 V-Mac Vicor+ high-performance end mill with chip splitters optimizes chip length for better evacuation and more reliable processes, performance, and ultimate part finishes. Advanced flute design improves chip control and allows for aggressive speeds and feeds by reducing cutting forces. The staggered flute geometry keeps vibrations to a minimum, ensuring smooth operations. Manufactured for optimal stability, the V-Mac’s engineered core delivers robust axial strength, while its FC-21 coating combats fatigue and micro-chipping to maintain a consistent cutting edge.
