Ammunition Cartoner
The MGS KP600 cartoner is suitable for ammunition manufacturers sourcing an entry level machine with a compact footprint or producing product in small batches. The KP600 can run up to 30 cartons a minute for hand-loading, semi-automatic, or fully-automatic production lines with changeovers taking less than 10 minutes.
MGS' methodologies take ammunition from bulk and singulate and orient it before it’s placed into a carton or tray. MGS can add the following solutions:
- VersaSort bulk feeder features refined cartridge singulation, orientation, and grouping techniques to deliver a controlled product stream.
- Cartridge Singulation Miter Starwheel and Chicane Cartridge Buffer is a connector between the VersaSort and the cartoner, serving two important functions: consistently and positively reorienting cartridges and creating a product buffer to handle bulk feed variability.
- Vision systems are available to confirm the presence of primers and projectiles. Incomplete rounds are ejected and verified to ensure customer satisfaction. Operator inspection stations with ergonomic seating as well as lighting and mirrors allow for thorough cartridge quality inspection.
- MGS’ cartoner portfolio features a wide range of offerings, from low-speed, intermittent motion units through high-speed, continuous motion configurations. The company also offers a fully automatic case packer as well as manual case pack-out stations, carton/case embossing, case labeling, and several palletizer options.

3d printing service with printable paste system
An innovative large-format 3D printing service provides manufacturers with a faster, smarter alternative to traditional tooling methods where the tooling board is CNC-machined. The process enables the production of complex, single-piece models with no visible bond lines, while cutting material waste by up to 58% and reducing production timelines by as much as 70% in internal trials. By eliminating the need for molds, casting, or bonding and requiring only light post-processing, the service significantly accelerates lead times and helps reduce consumable waste and material waste.
At the heart of the new service is ProXtrude, a specially formulated, novel, printable paste system offering structural strength, thermal stability, and dimensional precision. Printed layer by layer using advanced robotics, the service produces large-format, near-net-shape stock models in a dedicated robotics cell with a 6m x 2m x 2.5m print bay.
Located at Base Materials’ facility in Birmingham, UK, each part is manufactured to tight specifications, supporting even the most complex geometries – including hollow structures, thin-walled forms, and intricate overhangs. The high-performance characteristics of ProXtrude result in stock models exhibiting enhanced structural integrity and a refined surface finish, requiring just 10mm of CNC machining to meet final tolerance and aesthetic standards. This final step can then be completed by the customer or their preferred machining partner.
Base Materials ProXtrude printable paste system is also available as a stand-alone product for companies with their own in-house 3D printing capabilities.

ITAR-ready, US-only hosting for secure CT workflows
Voyager Government Cloud is a secure, compliant cloud deployment of Voyager designed for U.S. federal agencies, defense contractors, and regulated manufacturers keeping the browser-based workflow teams prefer while ensuring data stays within protected, U.S.-only cloud infrastructure. The result is faster analysis and clearer decisions without shipping drives, standing up ad hoc networks, or installing desktop software.
Government Cloud supports ITAR workflows and similar regulatory requirements. It preserves the full feature set of Voyager so users can analyze volumes, compare against CAD, automate measurements, and generate repeatable reports. Distributed teams can open the same dataset in a browser, inspect internal geometry, and record findings with consistent procedures. Program managers see status, quality leaders see trends, and suppliers get precise guidance without exchanging raw volumes by email or courier.

3d scanner on robot turnkey cells
The CUBE-R M Series is a modular solution leveraging the MetraSCAN 3D-R scanner in an automated 3D measurement cell and offering three standard configurations to accommodate different part sizes. A wide range of options ensures easy integration into any production environment, enabling more inspections with fewer resources and lower costs.
Unlike one-size-fits-all solutions, this turnkey high-productivity industrial measuring cell adapts to any shop floor and any requirements. The M2 inspects parts up to 2m in length, the M3 handles parts up to 3m, and the M4 supports parts up to 4m, offering significant flexibility in footprint, payload, and part size. Built with modularity in mind, these solutions are future-proof: the wealth of configurations and options ensures factories remain agile and ready to evolve. Bringing quality control and inspection ever closer to production, the CUBE-R delivers continuous measurements and accuracy, even in vibrating environments and on difficult surfaces, by leveraging hardware-software synergy for smart offline programming, high-frame-rate full-field 3D data, and rapid cycle times through parallel processing. The results: increased productivity, enhanced product quality, and reduced operational costs.
