The Textron Inc. Board of Directors appointed Lisa Atherton, president & CEO of Textron’s Bell segment, to succeed Scott C. Donnelly as Textron’s president and CEO. Atherton will join the Board upon assuming the CEO role. Donnelly becomes Textron’s Executive Chairman, leading the Board of Directors and providing advice and counsel to the CEO on company matters. Danny Maldonado

Textron Inc. also named Danny Maldonado president & CEO of the Bell segment. Maldonado, currently Bell’s chief commercial officer (CCO), will succeed Lisa Atherton, who was recently appointed as president & CEO of Textron Inc. As CCO, Maldonado is responsible for Bell’s global commercial aircraft sales, aftermarket solutions, the Bell Training Academy, and new product development. Prior to his role as CCO, Maldonado led Textron Financial Corp. as president & CEO for nine years and, prior to that, served as Bell’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. He joined Textron in 1990 and has held leadership roles encompassing sales, business development, customer support, and finance at Textron. For more: bellflight.com

Leonardo DRS Inc. announced William J. (Bill) Lynn retired as chairman and CEO after 14 years of leading the company. The board of directors unanimously named John Baylouny as president & CEO and a member of the board.

Additionally, the board of directors has unanimously elected Frances (Fran) Fragos Townsend as board chair. Lynn was named CEO of Leonardo DRS in 2012 and during his tenure transformed the company into a modern, technology-driven organization. Under his leadership, the company followed a strategy focused on building differentiated positions across four core markets: advanced sensing, network computing, force protection, and electric power and propulsion technologies. He also led the acquisition of RADA, a move that added market-leading tactical radars to the company’s portfolio and returned Leonardo DRS to the public markets in 2022. Baylouny has more than 35 years of experience at Leonardo DRS. He currently serves as the company’s chief operating officer, a position he has held since late 2018. Prior to that role, he served as chief technology officer of the company with enterprise-wide responsibility for its technology investment strategy. Townsend has served as a board director since 2009 and serves as the company’s lead independent director. John Greene

Northrop Grumman Corp. elected John Greene corporate vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). He’ll report to Kathy Warden, chair, CEO, and president. Greene will succeed Ken Crews, who has announced his intent to leave the company, effective Feb. 20, 2026, to pursue other interests. Greene was chief financial officer (CFO) for Discover Financial Services for six years, prior to its acquisition by Capital One. Previously, he served as CFO for Bioverativ, a global pharmaceutical company, and Willis Group Holdings. He also served as CFO for multiple business units within HSBC Holdings, including retail bank and wealth management. Greene began his career with Ernst & Young and worked for 12 years at General Electric. For more: northropgrumman.com


Megan Malara

The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), in collaboration with America Makes, appointed Megan Malara, Ph.D., director of the new Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense. Malara, a native of the Youngstown area, will lead the Hub’s mission to transform the Northeast Ohio region into a global center for advanced manufacturing innovation, workforce development, and economic growth. Previously, Malara served as director of the Medical Modeling, Materials, and Manufacturing (M4) Division at The Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME), where she led cross-disciplinary teams of engineers and clinicians to develop advanced manufacturing solutions for patient care. She also served as a Legislative Fellow in the U.S. Congress through the AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowship, addressing public health, STEM education, and healthcare financing.
